I'm also wondering if my refusal to accept the negative aspects of reality is a strength or a fault.

Courage is foolishness on another tongue.

....I don't know how I managed to partially dislocate my shoulder swinging a bat, but it really hurts.

These little sadistic quirks of reality really annoy me.


That aside, the car is dying (engine troubles), so my work schedule is further deprleted in potential.

Good thing I was lazy and hadn't called anyone.

Should I continue submitting game reviews, or just shut up and concentrate on artsy things?

Well... finally ranted (sort of) at an admin about the barrage of pr0n posing as DDs.

As the subject mentioned, this is likely just more flogging on an already dead horse, but I have to say something to justify my rants.

First, I'd like to establish that I consider nude photography/painting/whatever to be a perfectly valid art form. The human body is incredible, and should be appreciated, not hidden like something distasteful.

That having been said, I find my views on that changing, largely due to the amount of nude photography selected for daily devs. I won't debate quality, art is perception, and everyone sees things differently. But it seems like a truly disproportionate quantity of DD's come from this category.

So, I find myself in the position of being unable to appreciate the actual artistic nudes I run across, simply because I associate them with the number of nudes selected to be featured.

Yes, that's just a personal issue, but I certainly know I'm not alone in this.

I just feel it's unfair to the category, having the merit of the art based on the voyeuristic thrill, rather than the art itself.

Painting geese on a pond isn't daring, but more talent goes into making something like that good that what is required in asking your girlfriend to lie naked on a rock.

I make no claims to being great, or even a good artist, but that doesn't mean I'm incapable of enjoying, and disliking, various pieces of art.


Perhaps a little moderation?

Well, regardless of result, the response WAS prompt, and as the director of the nude photography galleries, he does actually select some good photos.

And I wasn't banned, which is an improvement over the last time I made my opinions known to the admins or my RO site.
